SFD puts Lucas 3 Compression Device in Service

The Sharptown Vol. Fire Department would like the thank the Sharptown Ladies Aux. for the purchase of our new LUCAS 3 Chest Compression System. In October of 2013 we were the first company in Wicomico County to put a Lucas 2 Chest Compression device in service on one of our ambulances. We are now proud to announce that both ambulances will have its own Lucas chest compression device.

The LUCAS Chest Compression System is designed to help improve outcomes of sudden cardiac arrest victims and improve operations for medical responders. Maintaining high-quality hands-free compressions frees responders to focus on other lifesaving therapies.
