It is with our deepest and sincere regrets to inform you that Life Member and Fire Police Captain Herman English has answered his last alarm on September 24, 2024.
Herman has been a member of the Sharptown Fire Department for 58 years, joining in 1966. Herman has been a very active member of the department serving on the Board of Trustees for several years, and being the Chairman for many of them. Herman served on many committees throughout the years including being on the nominating committee every year since 2006. Herman joined the Sharptown Fire Department Fire Police in 1987. Herman has served as the Fire Police Captain for the last year. Herman was a valuable asset to the Sharptown Fire Department and will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 27th, from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at the Sharptown Firemen’s Memorial Building, with Funeral Services following. Internment will be at the Sharptown Firemen’s Cemetery.
